Any subject, long or short. Write from your own experience and judgement, and cite your sources.

How to submit

  • Send your draft straight to lod. A shared document, Markdown or plain text are all fine.
  • Or sign in with Google at the writing desk to write and submit (sign-in is not open yet).
  • Include a title, your byline and a one-line summary. For a first piece, add a short author bio.

After you submit

  1. An editor reads it and talks through changes with you. How much help you get is up to you.
  2. You confirm the text, the byline and what is public.
  3. lod publishes it. You get a link to the piece and your own author page.

Nothing is public until you confirm. You can still add to or correct a piece after it is published.

Helping edit

Tell lod which subjects interest you and roughly how much time you have. You can start with one draft for one author — no long-term commitment. Anything that changes the meaning is talked through with the author first.
